Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland celebrated Indian Culture Day on May 19, 2026

The Faculty of Ethnolinguistics at the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland celebrated Indian Culture Day on May 19, 2026 under the patronage of the Embassy of India in Warsaw. Shri Satyasheeel Lall, Second secretary (PIC) and Shri D. P. Pramod Kumar, Second Secretary (Edu) represented the Embassy in the event. Dean Prof Piotr Nowak, Deputy Dean Dr. Daniel Dzienisiewicz, Hindi lecturer Tomasz Borowiak, Prof. Dr. Hab. Anshu Rastogi of Life Sciences, Mr. Tomasz Lewandowski, Director, IBM Kyndryl and students participated in the celebration. The University’s Hindi students presented cultural programmes. An exhibition showcasing Indian art, culture and literature was organised and Indian delicacies were enjoyed by all participants.

2. Under the ‘India – Corner Initiative’, books on Indian art, culture, literature and eminent personalities were gifted to the Dean Prof. Piotr Nowak in presence of other senior members of the faculty. The concept of setting of ‘India Corner’ was well appreciated by the authorities of the faculty. The Embassy assured of adding more books to the treasure of the library and further strengthening of India-Poland ties.
