Celebration of ICCR 77th Foundation Day, 21 April 2026

The Embassy of India in Warsaw celebrated ICCR Day on 21 April 2026 with ICCR Alumni, members of Indian Diaspora and Polish friends including Ms. Kinga Gajewska, Member of Parliament and Head of the Polish-Indian Parliamentary Group. Ambassador-designate Ms. Neeta Bhushan addressed the audience and highlighted the enormous contribution of Indian Council for Cultural Relations in promoting cultural exchanges between India & Poland and strengthening our people to people ties.

Prof. Danuta Stasik, Chair of South Asian Studies, Faculty of Asian and African Cultures, University of Warsaw and Prof. Halina Marlewicz, Institute of Oriental Studies Jagiellonian University, Krakow shared their experiences on being alumni of ICCR.

Ms. Magdalena Niernsee, ICCR alumni (Kathak) performed “Thumri” dance and Trayee Dance Group consisting Ms. Shreyasi Dasgupta (Bharatnatyam), Ms. Prathibha Metgal & Ms.Aleksandra Dudekula (Kathak) and Ms. Pubali Gogoi (Sattriya) presented “Rhythm of freedom, A salute to the nation”.
