The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm by Embassy of India in Warsaw this morning. Members of the Indian community and friends of India in Poland participated fervently in large numbers. Celebrations commenced with the singing of National Song “Vande Matram”

Ambassador Neeta Bhushan hoisted the National Flag which was followed by singing of the National Anthem. Thereafter, Ambassador read out the address to the nation by the Hon’ble President of India. The event also included singing of patriotic songs by diaspora members and felicitation of participants of Special Independence Day  edition of Bharat Ko Janiye (BKJ) Quiz,  Viksit Bharat Painting Competition, Photography Competition “India Through My Lens” and My India My Story .Embassy also hosted an exhibition of paintings done  by participants during Traditional Madhubani Art Workshop held earlier alongwith works of painting and photography competitions.
