The 8th India–Poland Joint Working Group (JWG) Meeting on Defence Cooperation commenced in Warsaw, co-chaired by Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Secretary (Defence Production), and Ms Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, Secretary of State, Ministry of National Defence of Poland. The discussions focused on strengthening industrial cooperation in the field of defence, with a particular emphasis on joint development and co-production, as well as capacity building and cooperation between the armed forces—key pillars of a stronger India–Poland defence partnership. The delegations also visited the PGZ headquarters, where the President of PGZ presented the delegation, which included heads of Indian defence industry (DPSUs) and representatives of the private sector, information on Poland’s indigenous capabilities, development initiatives, key areas for B2B cooperation and opportunities for deepening industrial engagement.
